How to Read Daily Herald for Free
Bypass Paywalls
Bypass Paywalls is a web browser extension to assist featherbed paywalls for selected sites.
Installation Instructions
Google Chrome / Microsoft Border (Custom sites supported)
- Download this repo equally a Nil file from GitHub.
- Unzip the file and you should have a folder named
bypass-paywalls-chrome-primary
. - In Chrome/Border go to the extensions page (
chrome://extensions
oredge://extensions
). - Enable Developer Mode.
- Drag the
featherbed-paywalls-chrome-master
folder anywhere on the folio to import it (do not delete the folder later on).
Mozilla Firefox (Custom sites not supported)
- Download and install the latest version
Notes
- Every time you open Chrome information technology may warn you well-nigh running extensions in programmer fashion, but click ✕ to keep the extension enabled.
- Yous will exist logged out for whatsoever site yous accept checked.
- This extension works all-time alongside the adblocker uBlock Origin.
- The Firefox version supports automatic updates.

The free article limit can normally be bypassed past removing cookies for the site.*
Install the Cookie Remover extension for Google Chrome or for Mozilla Firefox. Please rate it 5 stars if you find it useful.
When coming across a paywall click the cookie icon to remove the cookies then refresh the folio.
*May not always succeed
New site requests
Only big or major sites will exist considered. Usually premium articles cannot be bypassed every bit they are backside a hard paywall.
- Install the uBlock Origin extension if it hasn't been installed already. Run across if you are yet getting a paywall.
- Bank check if using Cookie Remover (Google Chrome version or Mozilla Firefox version) can bypass the paywall. If non, continue to the side by side step.
- Commencement search Issues to see if the site has been requested already.
- Visit an article on the site you desire to bypass the paywall for and copy the commodity title.
- Open up up a new incognito window (Ctrl+Shift+North on Chrome) or Private window (Ctrl+Shift+P on Firefox), and paste the commodity title into Google.
- Click on the same commodity from the Google search results page.
- If information technology loads without a paywall you can submit a request and supplant the entire template text with the word "Confirmed". Otherwise please exercise not submit an issue as this extension cannot bypass information technology either.
Troubleshooting
- This extension works all-time alongside uBlock Origin for Google Chrome or for Mozilla Firefox.
- If a site doesn't work, attempt turning off uBlock and refreshing.
- Effort immigration cookies.
- Brand certain yous're running the latest version of Bypass Paywalls.
- If a site is having problems effort unchecking "*Full general Paywall Bypass*" in Options.
- If none of these work, yous can submit an upshot here.

- If making a PR to add a new site, confirm your changes actually bypass the paywall.
- At a minimum these files need to be updated:
README.md

, and possiblysrc/js/groundwork.js

. - Follow existing code-style and use camelCase.
- Employ JavaScript Semi-Standard Style linter. Don't demand to follow it exactly. There will exist some errors (e.g., do not utilise it on
sites.js
).
